The Path to Healthy Living, Issue #0011--Seeds of Change March 04, 2008 |
||||
| March 4, 2008
TODAY’S FOCUS Seeds of Change March is the first month of spring and represents a time to prepare for the crops of the new season. It is when the soil is tilled and the seeds are planted. Consider making this the time for planting the seeds of change in your own life.
Whether you are dealing with a physical or emotionally challenging issue or are ready for a life change you can take simple steps to start altering your life path. Two things tend to block us from pursuing total happiness and health for ourselves. The first is stress and the second is the emotional baggage we carry around from our childhood and our earlier life choices.
Science today is finding that “our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases.” Our emotions, thoughts and actions play a huge role in our overall health and well-being. A fantastic book that I highly recommend is Candice Pert’s “Molecules of Emotions” This book will provide you with the insight and scientific understanding of the role our emotions and stress play on our physical and mental health.
Consider making a change this year by planting the seeds of change in your own life. The following guides can help you get started on your journey:

Try using lavender as an anti-bacterial! According to Care2.com “Lavender contains up to 50 percent of an ingredient called linalool, which kills bacteria and viruses. Put 20 drops of pure essential oil of lavender in 1 cup of water, and spray the air, tabletops, door knobs, etc., anywhere you would usually use a disinfectant.” And the great news is that lavender also contains esters and aldehydes that help regulate your moods and is often used as a stress reliever!
