Amber's Garden Product Review and GiveawayGardening has never been one of my favorite pastimes. It takes so long to prepare the soil, to plant, weed, etc that I just don't have the patience - I know, I know, gardeners live longer lives - but then I found Amber's Gardens and all of the sudden I thought, well I may just be able to do some gardening after all and prolong my life in the process. What's the Product?
First Impressions
I followed instructions to the letter and planted the Herb and Salsa Gardens as soon as I got the packages. I made sure to plant them in a sunny location. I live in Florida, so that was not a problem. It took just a few minutes to plant both gardens. How easy is that! I was feeling very pleased with myself -- mission accomplished -- and could not wait to see my vegetable garden grow. Ah, but mother nature had a different agenda ..it rained and rained and rained for days on end. I worried about my gardens and even tried to cover them with aluminum foil to make sure they did not perish - remember, the instructions said not to over water. Bottom line, when the rains finally ended, my gardens did not look too healthy. The good news is that they are still alive and I am hoping that they will survive after all. I am keeping an eye on them. How does Mother Earth feel about this product? We are organic freaks, so we were not too pleased to find out that Amber's Gardens are not all organic .we are sure that Mother Earth feels the same way. Perhaps Amber's Gardens will consider going all organic from now on to please us and Mother Earth. But what I can say is that we are pleased with the fact that Ambers Garden is made with 100% natural biodegradable materials in the seed mats. Ambers Garden also regularly donates seeds to local families in need so they can grow fresh, healthy food. Both of which brings a smile to Mother Earth's face. Is it a Healthy Product? Vegetables and herbs are important to our health. And teaching our children to plant good foods to eat is a wonderful thing. But then again, organic is an important component of our health that is missing with this product. But overall it is a great way to introduce your children to eating more vegetables. How does this product impact my wallet? Prices are reasonable. No major impact on my wallet. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes, I would. But I would feel better about it if I could tell them that the gardens are organic. Bottom Line:
4 stars for how easy they are to plant as well as being kid friendly although I still wish they were organic.

The Herb Garden contains Basil, Oregano, Cilantro and Thyme that can be planted year around in mild climates. I am not crazy about Thyme, but I love basil, oregano and cilantro, absolutely my favorite herbs. The Salsa Garden Large contains tomato, green onion, cilantro, chili and radish all of which I enjoy. And more of my favorite cilantro! This package is to be planted in mid spring to midsummer. So, since I planted them both in June, I felt I was safe on both counts.
