Auromere Ayurvedic Product Review and GiveawayI was not very familiar with Ayurvedic products, but I have always been curious about them. Ayurvedic means "the science of life," and it is the "system of promoting health and rejuvenation with natural herbs and minerals," so when Healthy-Holistic-Living asked me to review samples of Ayurvedic products, I was more than glad to comply. What's the Product?
Rejuvenating Hand and Body Lotion First Impressions The first thing I noticed when I received the package of samples was the strong perfume smell. I am not a person who enjoys strong smells and perfumes, so I was a bit taken aback. Also, there were so many samples I was not sure where to begin or if I would be able to sample them all and give a fair review. I would have preferred just a couple of full-size products to be able to use them long enough to test them fairly. But I went ahead and decided to give the little samples a try. How I used it
Next I tested the various flavors of the Ayurvedic Toothpaste . The toothpaste is Fluoride free, no bleach, dyes or artificial preservatives. That alone makes this product a winner, but the good news is that it is made from botanical extracts and oils and helps prevent plaque. It also comes in different flavors, so you can chose the one you like - they all taste great - and each sample has enough in it to use two or three times, all you need is a small amount. My favorite is the Fresh Mint, it leaves my breath refreshed, although all the other flavors also leave a nice refreshed feeling in your mouth. I am definitely a fan. The Ayurvedic Mouthwash is also derived from botanical extracts and oils, with no artificial sweeteners or artificial preservatives, Fluoride free, Paraben free, Sulfate free, in other words, absolutely safe. It did leave a strong taste in my mouth initially and I felt like I should have mixed the mouthwash with water, but the strong taste vanished soon enough and it left a refreshing feeling in my mouth. I do like the mouthwash, but since the toothpaste leaves my mouth so refreshed, I don't think that I would need the mouthwash. I was not sure if I was going to enjoy the MudBath and Mask, I am not one for spending a great deal of time in a salon with facial masks and the like, but when I read the ingredients - 12 herbs and 4 kinds of clay - with nothing artificial added, I was intrigued to see if it would make a difference. The process was a bit messy and I had to keep the mud moist spraying it with water, but I have to say that my face does feel amazingly soft and moisturized after just one use. Oddly enough, the company claims that this product can be used for other purposes such as headaches and backaches as well as dental care and eyewash! But since I had a limited amount in the sample, I only used it as a facial mask, which I liked.
The Neem Balm was a surprise, it is very moisturizing and soothing. It is a wonderful product that I will like to keep handy for dry, itchy skin, dry heals and elbows. I read that is great as a nail and cuticle cream and since I have very thin, weak nails, I started rubbing my nails and cuticles with the Balm; it is too soon to tell, but I am hoping they will respond to the treatment. Neem oil has antibacterial properties and has been used to help with everything from burns, insect bites to rashes and cold sores to name a few. This is a great product! The Pre-Shampoo Conditioning Oil is made from a variety of natural ingredients including Sesame, Coconut, Wheat Germ oils and extracts of Neem, Castor leaf, etc. The company claims that it strengthens hair roots and prevents drying effects of shampoos, restoring natural balance. I used half the sample packet and rubbed it in my scalp and hair as indicated; I don't know if I used too much, but my hair ended up quite greasy and matted down. I followed up with the Sulfate Free Shampoo, which contains Neem along with Aloe Vera and Coconut oil conditioners, using the entire sample packet, but it was not enough to completely rinse out the conditioning oil. My hair ended up very greasy, so I had to use a bit of a generic shampoo to finish the job. After I dried my hair, I noticed it felt very clean and more manageable - my hair is normally very dry - but I really can't give a fair review based on the fact that I had to add a generic shampoo. The Handmade Lavender and Neem Soap is made from a coconut oil base and it includes Neem oil, Lavender and herbal extracts. I liked the way it left my skin soft and moist, unlike other soaps, but I did not enjoy the strong perfume smell that lingered on my hands for a long time. I noticed, though, that when I bathe with it, there is very little lingering smell and it leaves my skin soft and with a clean feeling. I definitely like this soap. I am not one for Incense, I have never enjoyed then, so I did not test it. It is simply just not for me. How does Mother Earth feel about this product? This company uses herbal and natural ingredients in their products, which are chemical free and are not tested on animals and contain no animal ingredients. Auromere Ayurvedic Imports is a non-profit organization, they support schools and spiritual communities in the U.S. and India (providing employment in local village communities). Mother Nature is pleased, but the thing we are both disappointed about is the fact that these products are not organic and there is no way of telling what, if any, pesticides were used in the process. She would also have preferred glass over plastic containers, even though the plastic containers are promoted as being recyclable - I assume by the consumer for other uses - it will take Mother Nature many, many years to biodegrade them once they are discarded. Is it a Healthy Product? Auromere Ayervedic Imports started over 30 years ago. It became one of the first companies to introduce Ayurveda to the U.S. They are the leading importer of Ayervedic body care, conscious living products and literature. I checked the list of ingredients in all the product samples and was impressed with the long list of natural oil and herbal substances, but then I came across a list of ingredients that I could hardly pronounce and I became suspicious. So I took the time to go to the Internet and key in the name of each and every one of them. Then I went to the Auromere web site and found the information readily available there! So they are definitely healthy products. How does this product impact my wallet? I felt the prices were reasonable, especially since we are talking about all-natural ingredients and this being a non-profit organization. What is great is the travel size items, priced at anywhere from .75 to 1.25, which are wonderful to use when you travel since they contain less than 3 oz of liquid and they will take very little space in your luggage. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes, these products are safe and all-natural. Bottom Line:
4 stars. Would have given it 5 stars, except for the fact that the products are not organic.

I started with the Rejuvenating Hand and Body Lotion, using it on my hands. OK, I think that with just one try, I could rate this a great lotion, I like how smooth my hands feel and the fact that it is not greasy or perfumed. It is Paraben free and combines herbal extracts with Sesame, Almond and Castor Oils. No wonder my hands feel so moist and soft. I love this product!
