bodykör Product ReviewMy face, amongst other things, can use a bit of work. After 10 years of having a chronic illness and hanging out in the sun and hitting my stride in my forties, I am showing a bit of wear and tare. So when bodykör contacted me to review their products, I jumped at the chance. What's the Product?
Microderabrasion Scrub First Impressions The products were beautifully packaged! I just love it when companies go the extra mile to use eco-friendly packaging. I opened the box and both products were wrapped in a canvas like material with a blue ribbon. The wrapping was very earthy and natural looking, giving you the immediate feeling that you are not only getting ready to try a high quality product, but one that is also good for you. I am looking forward to reviewing these products. How I used it
I think to truly test the products I need to give it a full month before I can give a thorough review, although at the moment I am feeling very good about them. I received a note back from bodykör and they said to use the Microdermabrasion 2x's per week at the most and only 1 or even less if you have sensitive skin; shew, glad I wrote that note, can you image my review if I had used it daily?
Mother Earth is pretty happy with bodykör. For starters, all of their products are cruelty free, which is always a winner with Mother Earth. They also package their orders in shredded shavings from wood scrap to avoid plastic and foam peanut packaging. bodykör does not use boxed packaging, saving on environmental waste and the products are individually wrapped in recyclable paper and cloth. They pack their sample packs in reusable silky-pouches that people love to use for travel, coins, sewing sets, etc. All of their formulations make use of small wild-crop farmers in Oregon. These small farms are often family owned, and are a part of the movement toward local food and resources in Oregon. And whenever possible they use vendors that are part of the "small economy" family of companies; private companies run by individuals as opposed to corporate boards. That's great; now all Mother Earth wants to see is bodykör find a way to incorporate recycled bottles, either plastic or glass, into their product line and she would be beaming. Is it a Healthy Product? With ingredients like organic fruit, healthy vegetables, essential oils, trace minerals and botanical extracts, how can it not be. And to boot, they use only USDA Certified Organic ingredients and Certified Organic Wild Crop Ingredients; you never find dyes, perfumes, fillers, additives, paraben, petroleum in any of their products. They are 100% chemical free. Healthy? Most definitely. How does this product impact my wallet? Well it's not cheap, but neither are other high end skin care products in the market. It is a matter of priorities, and if your skin's health is a priority then bodykor is a great way to spend your extra cash. bodykör does try to ease the pain by offering free shipping on all of their products. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes, especially the Microdermabrasion, although I would also recommend a high quality moisturizer for best results. Bottom Line:
4 stars.

Following instructions, I used the Fresh Citrus Wash first. It lathered incredibly well, so well that I think tomorrow I will use a bit less. My face certainly felt cleaner, although I can't say the skin looked or felt any different. I did like the fact that the wash only had a very mild smell that dissipated quickly. I followed this by using the Microdermabrasion Scrub; wow, this stuff was amazing, although at first it did feel a bit rough on the skin it left it silky soft in the end. It had a pleasant smell; actually, it almost smelled like something you could eat. The instructions did not tell me how often I am supposed to use this product, so I zipped off an email to the company.
I give high praise to both the facial wash and microdermabrasion, although one does need to use control and not over use the micordermabrasion despite how good it leaves your skin. Overall, I would definitely recommend bodykör Microdermabrasion and the facial wash, although I would definitely encourage you to use a high quality moisturizer along with these products.
