Journey to Wealth: Building a Home Internet Business that you can Take Anywhere in the World
"Wealth is the ability to fully experience life." Do you know how to follow your passion to healthy success? Id like to share with you how I have learned that Holistic Wealth can be achieved through holistic living. By consciously choosing to create balance within your mind, your body and your spirit and by following your passion you have the opportunity to create optimum health and wealth. We are only limited by the tools we choose to use, our vision and our belief system. Most of us who want to create a home-based business or are planning on expanding our current business are considering the Internet as the solution. The problem is that most of us are not certain the best way to approach this or we dont have any web design experience. If you are anything like me, you have already done a ton of searches on home-based business opportunities and have felt let down by all the scams and get-rich-quick schemes out there. It took me over a year, traveling to another country and listening to my Dads advice to come across this Site Build It opportunity. After attending a seminar in Ecuador on building an Import and Export Business, I immediately began to build a website using what I had learned. I approached this like I have always done things in the past; simply putting one foot (or in this case one finger) in front of the other and rushing through it like a runaway train. I built my site in record time...only to find out after hours and hours of work that not one single person would ever visit my site simply because I did not use the right keywords and did not have the proper understanding of what was necessary to attract people to my site. This is when my fathers intervention came through loud and clear. He had been doing some research on the Internet and came across this wonderful site that practically builds your website for you guaranteeing success if you are willing to carefully follow some simple steps and put the time and energy needed to start your business. After calming myself down and following my own advice to do things in a holistic way, I first went over some of the key things I had learned at the seminar, mainly that content and information is everything and that writing reports and publishing through the internet can lead to great profits with little or no expense. Second I read over all of the Site Build It information my father had given me. The parallels with the seminar were amazing! That's when I knew this was the path for me because the Site Build It program focuses on content, information and turning your passion into profits. What is meant by information is that you must provide people with sound, personal and knowledgeable advice while at the same time gaining trust, and building relationships. It is a totally different model than the hey, look I have something to sell of the past. What you can accomplish with this new approach of building a CONTENT and INFORMATION based website is that you will drive thousands yes, (literally thousands!)of people to your site on a monthly basis by giving valuable information on one specific topic that you are knowledgeable and passionate about.
It is simple, the more people click on your site the more people will want to link to your site, the more traffic will come to your site, the more money you will make off of ads and referrals or by selling reports or products. You actually dont even have to sell a product. You can gain great profits simply by sharing information and knowledge. YOUR knowledge and YOUR information!
You see, the key today to building a successful internet business is building a site around knowledge. Not just any knowledge but expert knowledge; knowledge people can trust. It is about building a relationship with your reader, sharing something about yourself and your passion. It is about truly giving people what they want. If you tell people to come to your site because you have information about digital cameras, you had better have a ton of useful, first hand information about digital cameras. If you can provide a visitor with the exact information they needed plus a ton of other information they may find useful, you have a person that will consider buying from you. That is the start of a good relationship. The old website model, and plenty of people on the internet are still selling it, encourages you to build a basic store and use an expert to write some keywords for you in hopes your site will encourage at least some of the people on the internet to seek out your PRODUCT. The chances of that are slim. And the old way of thinking and the old paradigm that the internet is just one big shopping mall is no longer true. Most people use the internet to look for INFORMATION. Start looking a little closer at the sites you are going to on the internet and think about why you went there in the first place. What is the major thing that they provide the consumer? For the most part, it will be just that, content and information. And quality information at that!
You cant just build a website, throw some products on it and hope that someone stumbles across your site with the millions of other sites out there. For most of us it is not an option to pay someone to get your website in the top rankings on the search engines to get traffic. It can get quite expensive not to mention there are no guarantees. I get on the internet plenty of times because I am looking for a particular product and I want the cheapest price. But my overall internet experience is with INFORMATION and, generally, when a site gives me quality information that I trust, I end up doing business with them. See, there is a whole internet world out there that I didnt know about. You dont have to have a product to sell. You dont have to have any inventory, heck you dont have to have anything but just INFORMATION! This is the amazing part, you can provide more information by writing an e-book, writing a report or develop an e-course on almost anything you are knowledgeable about and sell it (If you plan on selling information you will likely need a PDF program you might want to try Adobe Acrobat 8.0 The philosophy behind knowledge-based web sites is that once you start getting traffic to your site, you diversify the possible ways to monetize that traffic. Some sites put ads on their pages, others place affiliate ads on their sites for other companies, which means they list the other companies products and if someone clicks on that product from their site, they make money. And so will you! There are tons of ways to make money off your site just by posting your own sound, personal, truthful, and knowledgeable information. So, I came up with the basic criteria for how I was going to build my web-based business. And my first step in this new process was to decide what I was most knowledgeable and passionate about. Once I determined this, my second step was to build a successful website around that using information, articles, research data, etc, to create credibility and trust and finally to consider monetizing the traffic that I would bring to my site in search of the knowledge I was providing. Heck, your knowledge could be about anything, even knitting! It doesnt matter. I know from experience that the success will be the same as long as you provide meaningful content and information that people are looking for and that you use a proven and successful system Site Build It that will help you target in-demand content, attract targeted traffic, help you understand and learn how to pre-sell your visitors and provide you with a system of monetizing those pre-sold visitors. So, what was my knowledge base? I realized that due to a chronic illness, I had spent the last 6 years of my life altering everything around me, from my physical environment to my nutrition to my spiritual practices, and that as a result of these changes I had not only first hand experience in these areas, but that I had done tons of research to back it up and it had become my passion.
So, I came up with the idea of creating a new website under the umbrella of Healthy Holistic Living with a page on building a healthy home followed by several pages with information on neurological disorders, alternative medicine, healthy nutrition, etc and then include pages on the products that I support based on my experience. The process can be involved, but it is about finding your niche.
At first I was a bit irritated about having to start building my website all over again. But when I finally followed my Dads advice and purchased the Site Build It program he was talking about and started reading and using the tools, my excitement grew and all I can say is that this is the program that I have been using since and that it is helping me succeed. I am still a little frustrated that all my original work was based on the old store-front model and that I could use little of it with the new approach, but, hey, live and learn.
