Ecokid Product Review and GiveawayMy daughter has sensitive skin as well as being very particular about what personal care items we use on her, so it wasn't easy finding a soap she would let us use. We eventually came across a chemical free all natural product that we could use as both a body wash and shampoo and have been using that for a while. When eco.kid contacted me regarding a product review, I was curious to see if our daughter would object. Well, we were pleasantly surprised by both the products and our daughter's reaction. What's the Product?
First Impressions The product packaging was attractive and kid friendly, yet appealing to adults. The ingredients are fantastic, you can't beat the fact the products are almost 100% organic; folks, this is not easy to achieve. Not to mention the fact that they are paraben free, have no synthetics, no sulphates, no artificial preservatives and no silicone. All good news to me, and, to top it off, the bottle actually had brail on it, talk about trying to meet the needs of all your consumers! I am really excited to try this product on my daughter. How I used it
On to the next product. My daughter hates lotion being put on, it freaks her out, so there was absolutely no way she was going to let me put an oil based lotion on so I gave it a try myself. I think the Potion Lotion is fantastic although it is a bit oily, but from what I understand, kids do not produce their own body oils until they are 12 so it is appropriate for a children's lotion to be oil based. It has a pleasant scent and left my skin silky soft. Bottom line , if your child doesn't mind lotion this is an excellent product. How does Mother Earth feel about this product? Mother Earth is certainly pleased with eco.kid. A guiding principle of eco.kid is that they believe it is critical to manufacture products that are as eco-friendly and bio-degradable as possible. Eco.kid products are made from ingredients that are organically certified, wild harvested, and naturally derived. Their products are naturally preserved, naturally fragranced and naturally colored. Eco.kid shampoos use 100% essential oils as the primary active cleansing ingredient. Their secondary actives are organically certified sugar and coconut foaming agents, which have a 99.5%-99.8% biodegradability within three weeks in sewage treatment plant conditions. Bottom line, they care about the environment and firmly believe the whole system is linked-soil, plants, animals, food, people and the planet. I agree and so does Mother Earth. Is it a Healthy Product? Absolutely, for starters it is 98% organic and it is has no parabens, no synthetics, no sulphates, no artificial preservatives and no silicone, plus the TLC Hypo Allergenic Wash doesn't sting my daughter's eyes. I would say definitely healthy products. How does this product impact my wallet? Well the price is a bit steep at $16.50 per bottle but given the fact that very few all natural products meet the standards of eco.kids, if you can afford it I think it is an excellent product. You can purchase it at your local Target store or on-line at Target.com. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yup, with a little caveat about the price. Bottom Line:
4 stars. If the price was a bit more competitive I would give it a definite 5 stars.

We scrubbed, lathered and rubbed our way through the first bath with TLC Hypo Allergenic Body Wash and Shampoo and I have to say I loved it. But the real test was whether or not my daughter liked it, and she did. It has a slight scent that didn't bother her, which was unusual. The Body Wash/Shampoo lathered appropriately and rinsed well. I actually liked it better than the product we currently use which is saying a lot. Bottom line, the shampoo/body wash worked great. It left my daughter's hair shiny and healthy.
