When it comes to the secret of weight loss, there is really no secret at all. All your body needs from you is to choose healthy foods and take in fewer calories. Simple, right? Well, for many of use making the right food choice in today’s world full of fad diets can be a bit difficult.
However, your diet for weight loss does not have to be complicated. The truth is, there are really just a few core foods that your body needs (more than any other) to help it cut through the fluff, and they are much simpler to cook and enjoy then you might think.
One of the best reasons to start enjoying these dishes this summer is that there is just something about summer time that makes high-calorie dishes seem less appealing. The best foods for weight loss in summer are light, refreshing and, most important of all; keep you out of the hot kitchen.
Summer time might make it feel a bit easier to make better food choices however with these few food you will be eating right all year round.
According to nutritionist Susan Moores, chilled soups are an excellent way of helping your body cut fat. Chilled soups are traditionally made of fresh produce, herbs and spices. They are low calorie yet high in essential vitamins and nutrients. Chilled soups such as gazpacho or cucumber-dill are excellent as summer appetizers or entree dishes.
“Research shows that a low-calorie, broth-based soup at the beginning of the meal will fill you so you eat less at the meal,” says Moores.
When it comes to low calorie high vitamin fruits, there is nothing better than watermelon. This green shelled pink power house of a fruit is full of vitamins such as A, B6, and vitamin C. Watermelon is also full of other important nutrients such as antioxidants and amino acids. In addition to all this watermelon is made up of about 92 percent water making it a super refreshing and hydrating summer snack.
Homemade Vitamin Waters.
Water in itself is an amazing tool for weight loss. Not only does it help to stifle cravings, which lead to over or unhealthy eating, it also helps keep the body hydrated and feeling active. By adding in some essential vitamins and nutrients you can super charge your water and maximize your fat burning potential.
