Learn tips and techniques to living a healthy holistic life

How much does science ALREADY admit it doesn't know... plenty, not to include when they change their minds along the way!

I was trying to find out more about the premise behind the foot pads, but found only a lot of negative commentary that all started as "I have never tried this product, but believe this is nothing but a bogus scam" Even a news story outraged at how anyone could get away with selling these. Why are we not already outraged that we don't have much more of a scientific explanation given to us when serious prescription drugs are doled out to us.

Now, I am open to any holistic approach to enabling my health, and for $9.99 I am game to something that appears to do no harm, and purports removing toxins that would otherwise hinder my possible future health. While foot pads offer little scientific proof, or research by third parties (other than the manufacturers), then it would be easy for nay-sayers to discount any possible credibility here. Being open minded, obvious other theories that DO exist in science and holistic practices contend that there may be something to the foot pad after all.

I believe the simple statistic that all good children who venture to learn a little elementary biology or entertain the occasional unusual fact book know, that we sweat approximately 2 cups of water through the pores of our feet every day, coupled with gravity (heavy metals, no matter how minute, are still heavy metals) might lead one to believe that it very well may be that toxins might be extracted through the soles of my feet. Another good well known fact is that vinegar is a great cleaning agent... hmmmmm, on to something here. Cider vinegar has been recommended for a multitude of health benefits for centuries. Why would bamboo vinegar not hold it's own attributes for contributing to better health? Next ingredient, tourmaline.

Well this is what a simple Google search produced when I asked what would happen to my water if it was filtered with tourmaline in the filter: Tourmaline, in your filter, is used to naturally transform water into mild alkaline water, reduce water clustering (what happens to our stored water) and has anti-bacterial and deodorant qualities.

Treated water applied to the skin gives an excellent effect of moisturizing and absorption. Tourmaline has been researched and found to activate animal & plant metabolism.
I read that to mean that with it, water becomes more alkaline, like lemon juice, and is anti-bacterial, like tea tree oil. And it is a water softener. Now how is this bad? Because I cannot think that the 2 cups of water that I am sweating out (day or night) is "like water" if it goes in like cola, or milk, or not enough water today, or too much sugar today, or...

I guess if they wanted to list the Chinese Herbs, we could see that there are other properties to add to this.

Emollient base is probably so you don't have a soaking wet drippy foot pad (8-10 hours with a pad on your foot while sleeping under a blanket... okay maybe just sweating one cup?)
I have done a number of detoxifying treatments, and will tell you the same folks who are skeptical about holistic practices are the same ones who told me 20 years ago that I was not smart to fast for 2-4 days, 2-3 times a year. I have endured crazy health swings, fluctuated up to 70 lbs in weight, and today I am often told I look 10+ years younger than I really am.

You can find a reason to take charge of your own health first, and judge only once you have tried 'anything and everything' to be certain that you ACT like your health is your most important asset. Or you can give us 50 reasons why it would never work... even though you never tried first.
You are the only one who has to live with being you... so you can decide what is true, for you.

Namaste.
