Neem Tree Farms Product Review and GiveawayI am up to trying just about any product especially if it has gotten a lot of good press or a recent endorsement from a trusted source. I have tried some pretty wacky stuff since starting my healing journey as well as the product reviews but nothing tops my latest introduction to Neem Oil. Trust me, if you have never smelled Neem Oil you're in for a treat. What's the Product?
First Impressions I was a bit overwhelmed by all the products that this company sent for testing, but was quite curious to try any Neem Oil based product given the fact that Dr. Oz recently highlighted its benefits. The first thing I noticed about these products is the smell, yuck who knew Neem Oil smelled so strong? This should be an interesting review. How I used it
The next product I tried was the Neem Oil Face Serum... OMG hold your nose! Someone should have given me a heads up with the whole Neem Oil smell, maybe a warning label of some sort. If you have never smelled neem oil, you are in for a big surprise. As far as judging whether the face serum is a quality product or not well, it is tough to tell. I lasted a week and finally my olfactory senses revolted and I gave up. I did think that my skin was smoother and softer, but truthfully, you have to be a whole lot more committed to skin care than I am to give this product a try, it's just not worth the odor for me. The next product I tried was the Neem Tree Farms Anti-Itch Formula. With this product, although it did have a rather strong smell, it worked so well I could easily over look it. It immediately stopped the itching from my mosquito bite. This is definitely a product that I will keep in my first aid kit. Neem Tree Farms also sent over Neem Oil for Dogs but unfortunately, I was not able to review this product because I lacked the dog.
How does Mother Earth feel about this product? Mother Nature is certainly pleased with Neem Tree Farm's commitment to creating an organic based product and bringing the reported benefits of Neem oil to the marketplace. She is also pleased with Neem Tree Farm's efforts to make the environment a priority by using recycled material in both their packaging and shipping. Neem Tree Farms also makes a great effort to recycle anything and everything in their offices as well as manufacturing facility, and they literally use their plastic pots until they fall apart! They also strongly encourage their employees to take advantage of both flextime and telecommuting opportunities. Neem Tree Farms is making a great effort to go 'green' at both their office and manufacturing facilities their new green house was built using recycled concrete, they are in the process of digging a shallow well for irrigation, and they have plans to complete a storm water catch by the end of the year. And to top it all off, they consistently support organizations like Earth Force and Tampa Bay Estuary Program with donations of products. Is it a Healthy Product? As Stated By Neem Tree Farms: We started growing certified-organic neem in 1992 based on the indirect advice of the US government. The National Academy Press had just published a book called "Neem:A Tree for Solving Global Problems." The book, still available online, describes how the neem tree has been used for centuries as a biopesticide and medicinal herb, concluding that neem offers "enormous benefits to countries both rich and poor." Over the last 17 years, we've watched in awe as researchers around the world work to validate that vision. From Baltimore to Bangalore, scientists have documented neem's diverse benefits in disorders ranging from AIDS and arthritis to cancer and ulcers. More than 500 reports are available on the National Institutes of Health website. Perhaps most important, ongoing research shows that neem has few side effects, when used as directed, by adults who are not trying to conceive a child. The Extension Toxicology Network notes that neem is "practically non-toxic" even at the extraordinarily high doses fed to laboratory rats. OK I am convinced it's some truly healthy stuff! How does this product impact my wallet? For what the product claims to do the price seems extremely reasonable. Even direct competitors' products seemed to be priced higher. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Definitely although I would warn them that they will be required to adjust their olfactory senses. Bottom Line:
4 stars. I think Neem Tree Farms offers quality products at competitive prices, just be prepared for the sensory experience.

The first product I tested was the Neem Oil and Aloe Vera Soap. I loved this soap, it left my skin so soft and moisturized that I truly didn't feel like I needed any lotion after getting out of the shower. And the real bonus is that I could hardly detect the Neem Oil smell in the soap, so I was quite pleased. Definitely, soap I would recommend.
Neem Tree Farms also sent over both Sprout's Spray for People and Pets as well as their Botanical Outdoor Gel, both of which can be used as bug repellant. I will address the smell first, fortunately for me they formulated these products with just the right ingredients to minimize the neem oil smell, so these pass the nose test. Both actually worked quite well as a bug repellant, although I did find that, with either one of them, you needed to reapply the product every couple of hours to be truly effective.
