OIL PULLING FANTASTIC RESULTS!

by Jo Hall
(bedfordshire)

I've been "oil pulling" for about a month now. I have had amazing results!

Whiter teeth, and an amazing glow to my complexion. I use sunflower oil which isn't too bad to pull on. My hair is also so much softer! I can't believe such a simple method could have so many positive results!

Wish I could get my friends to try it
by: Anonymous

Many years ago a dentist broke a root canal seal. Without the thousands of dollars to get an implant and cap I have done my best to keep this tooth. Constant flossing , picking, rinsing with all kinds of different products as well as brushing several times a day. Always painful bleeding gums around the area, that sometimes have swelled and become infected. Fortunately I had friends to give me some of their unused antibiotics. I constantly searched the net, and two weeks ago discovered oil pulling. After a few days the bleeding gums stopped. Now there is absolutely no inflammation around that tooth. It is a miracle. As an added benefit my lifelong insomnia has disappeared. My feet and knees are feeling padded when I jog, and my jogging is turning into running, more like it was decades ago. I've taken many great herbs, but nothing has worked as well for me as this.

i fell younger
by: Anonymous

I have been oil pulling with olive oil for about a week. My life is changed. Everything that was bothering me..has improved,or is gone. I am 51, female, and have all sorts of issues. One of the best results for me has been a huge decrease in food cravings...especially sweets. I can just have one or two meals a day..(like I use to when I was younger), and not eat again until the next day. In another words..I can actually diet again, and lose weight. I am hypothyroid..and losing weight for me has been so hard. In the last week, I have lost six pounds, and feel so good. I have energy, and my mood is great. My perio issues are gone, my eyes have cleared up..(vision)..I can see up close again..I know my thyroid is working right, because I feel young again. I know this sounds too good to be true, and I hope it's not. I just hope I continue to see results, as I plan to oil pull twice a day forever. I have tried everything to look and feel better, but this is the best result I have gotten in 10 years. I am so grateful.

OPING IS FOR ME
by: michael

I'm a 54 yr old man, and I've been pulling with (Loriva) an extra virgin cold pressed sesame oil each morning and a cold pressed olive oil each afternoon for 1 1/2 months. And like most others I discovered this accidentally, while searching for anything that could help my wife deal with the pain she suffers every day. After discussing OPing with her and getting the GROSS response, I became the lab rat. I am so impressed that I can only say YAHOO. After 1 week shoulder pain I've lived with for 20 year seemed to vanished and I'm even able to sleep on my left side. I've also suffered from a bleeding hemorrhoid for 30 years my Dr. suggested I have surgery, its now gone. Aches and pains that I thought were just aging have abated and I have much more energy, I'm able to sleep better and have no problem waking at 4:00am. I'm impressed enough to do this for life. However my wife will not try it. If any one would like to discuss OPing my email is mikecnc56@yahoo.com.

Feeling Better already
by: Anonymous

I have been Oil Pulling for over two weeks now with organic coconut oil, and it has worked wonders. I also take 1 tbls of coconut oil 3 times a day. The change has been great, my overall health and mood has changed dramatically. I am far more relaxed and an less likely to get agitated by unimportant things. I have had a major paradigm shift since I began oil pulling.

I have suffered from Candida for years, which has lead to GI problems and an imbalance of bacteria and yeast in my GI tract. Along with allergies and a plethora of oral issues... Since I began OP my energy has increased. I am losing the fat and a few pounds. I also use coconut oil on my skin and in my hair and I have noticed my hair is getting thicker and my skin is less dry and more clear.

I did go through the usual "die off" period where I felt sick, tired and the headaches were unbearable. That lasted a few days and required a lot of rest, but was totally worth it. What's 3 days of being uncomfortable, when you have been suffering for over 20 years? I believe it was a great trade off!

cholesterol level
by: Zac

Hi, can someone please share some views on their experiences in this oil pulling stuff or has it been medically known that oil pulling does increase the blood cholesterol in one's body? I have read a fair bit of this great stuff and it's benefit but not on the cholesterol level. thank you.

Knees feel much better.
by: Rick S

Less than two years ago I had a complete left knee replacement performed on me. Recently I started oil pulling with the intention of whitening my teeth and to detox my body as a whole. After 5 days of oil pulling I experienced a lot of pain in my left knee and some in the right knee. I sort of panicked thinking that perhaps the bond or glue came loose due to going back to bowling again which is one of the sport activities considered OK for my artificial knee joint. I stopped oil pulling immediately and decided to have my knee examined as soon as possible. My assistant manager at work suggested that I go to USC (Los Angeles)to have it examined because they have the best surgeons available if they have to do the repair. The earliest appointment available was 30 days from the time I called. I took the appointment anyway and I thought I'll just be careful not to aggravate the problem. After less than a week the pains disappeared including the pains in my hands, shoulder and neck. I believed what I experience was the healing pain. I am oil pulling again and of course I canceled the appointment.

oil pulling just over 3 months
by: Heather

I have been oil pulling just over 3 months now, with sesame and sunflower oils. My energy levels are outrageous! Skin is soft and toned. My hair seems to grow faster and is fuller. I had a problem with my eyes staying red for about a year and they were just cured and are now white as can be after 3 months of oil pulling! Yayy! went to 2 different doctor's about my eyes, and they couldn't fix it. My teeth are very strong, white, and no more sensitivity (my teeth were very sensitive). No more bouts of depression at all since op. I successfully have quit smoking using op. I don't know how there could be any more improvement in my health, but it does just keep getting better and better. I am absolutely loving it and I also have several family members doing it with results too. It's amazing.

In reply to Linda 02 Message 4th Feb 2010
by: Anonymous

Reading Linda's message I can quickly see where she is going wrong. She is taking 4 tablespoon's in 1 turn, and that too in coffee. So not only is she putting the maximum amount of fat that she can eat per day (70g) into her body first thing in the morning, but she is adding it to caffeine, which is a big no, and by having so much together she is heating her body up so quickly that it is causing her to break out in pimples, because the body is overheating.

The process is simple, 1 tablespoon of organic sesame seed oil first thing in the morning for oil pulling, and then 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil three times a day taken neat or mixed in food or hot water.

By doing this you are giving your body the full benefits of both oils each day and in return you will resp the benefits of better health.

positive and negative
by: linda02

Oil pulling for 3 months now..
positive..in the first 3 weeks..i was so impressed. my teeth seem cleaner and whiter and i felt like i had more energy.
negative after almost a month, i got a huge pimple, which went away in about a week. a few days later i get another huge pimple, i also get a boil(syst) under my arm and another one on my inter thigh. These all go away within a week but they left the dark scare, so i know they were there. 3 weeks ago i changed from sesame seed oil to coconut oil and i got a new pimple. i suffer from reoccuring syst in my head and i swear instead of the one of two that i normally get, i got about 17 at once. my whole head seemed to be on fire. I started taking 4 table spoons of coconut oil in my coffee each morning and rub a lot on my hair, wrapped my head to keep it off my pillow case. did this for about a week before my husband started complainting about how strong the coconut smell was. However, after 7 days, 90% of my soreness was gone from my head. The sores (syst) stopped leaking and all the small ones disappeared. It has now been 4 days since I used the coconut oil on my head and a couple of areas seem to have inflamation again but it has not gotten bad yet. I still take 4 table spoons each morning off coconut oil and i have started to oil pull with sesame oil again. I had switched to coconut oil for oil pulling for the 7 days that my head was really inflamed, but ran out of it,so when i went back to store, i got sesame seed for oil pulling and coconut for taking internally. I can tell you this..i have gain 2 pounds which I hate, but it could be because when i add the coconut oil to my coffee, i also add lots of cream and sugar. I am going to continue to do the oil pulling and taking the coconut oil for at least another 3 months..if i don't get completely healed from the pimples and syst in my head and stop gaining weight, i will quit. I wanted to tell my mom and sisters to try it but I am afraid they might not make it through the negative things like the pimples and the boils (syst) that you assume have to go through before get that beautiful clear and soft skin.

excruciating headaches
by: Anonymous

I only did the OP for a couple of minutes the first two days I did it, and that was probably a good thing, since the headaches I had been experiencing as a reaction to BP medication became very much worse. I realized that it felt very much like a detox reaction, so I began swishing for 20 minutes on day 3, and after thoroughly rinsing, drank two cups of very warm water. Day 4, headaches gone. Then I added an evening swish with coconut oil. First night headache returned, additionally very sore joints, again because I had failed to follow up with drinking water after the OP. After I began the coconut oil pulling I had a lot of drainage from my sinuses, which I had never considered a problem. I am guessing that the coconut oil worked differently enough from the sunflower oil that different systems in my body were affected by the oil. I am definitely continuing with the dual treatment, since I am already seeing a slight drop in blood pressure and with the flu season coming up, keeping my nasal and mouth cavities clear makes a whole lot more sense than chasing around for Tamiflu.

Oil Pulling is amazing
by: Laks

27th July 2009

I stumbled on oil pulling whilst looking at the benefits of another oil, saw sesame seed oil and then oil pulling. I use organic pressed sesame seed oil (available from health shops). I have got several of my family members doing this too.

So far in just 1 week I am amazed at the results. I have suffered with sinusitis from childhood and it's completely cured. I had not been able to smell anything for the last 9 months and suddenly I can smell. My teeth look great and white, my mouth is clean and fresh, my skin looks great and the dark circles under my eyes are diminishing day by day and I am sleeping throughout the night.

I am using 2 drops of the oil instead of my moisturiser on my face as well, which may also explain the good skin and eye circles.

I do OP first thing in the morning and as soon as I get home from work. By not having an afternoon snack (so I don't eat for 4 hours) is also stopping me from snacking.

I hope this experience helps others and encourages them to take the step and "just do it".

It seems to be working!
by: Nos from Maroubra

Following on from previous comment below - close to 4 months of OPING, once per day 1st thing in the morning and I can vouch that my gums look & feel much healthier. Only in the last week, the soreness when squeezing around my arthritic finger joint has gone however it still looks swollen. Negative effects? - none that have appeared. Will continue with the same routine.

Oil Pulling??
by: Nos from Maroubra

I started it 3 weeks ago using sunflower oil - no problems with it as i would take a swig from the bottle just before jumping into the shower. After 2 weeks I noticed nothing - so then purchased a better 'cold-pressed' brand of sunflower and have been pulling this for a week now, 1st thing in the morning for about 15-20 mins. If I notice no change in say another two weeks then I must accept that it will not help my arthritic finger.

Oil Pulling
by: Anonymous

I just find out about Oil Pulling and have tried it twice now. Main reason was for sore mouth of which I tried salt water to no avail and so thought I'd try this oil thingy. Mouth does feel better. I have dentures so I can't comment on whiter teeth (smiley face here) but mouth does feel better, not so swollen like. I also wanted to see if it will help my pain in lower back, sciatic, tired feeling, and concentration issue.

I have been using Canola Oil as that is what I had on hand but I read that most folks are using Sunflower Oil so I will give that a try. Good luck everyone and stay loose.

been op for around 2weeks now, very happy with results
by: Anonymous

Hi I've been op I believe for about 2 weeks now, I've notice every time I do it about a 1/2 hr after I keep coughing and a little mucus comes up, and my teeth look so much better, usually really yellow and my gums look really pink, very happy, I'm thinking of doing this twice a day, and I've heard using coconut oil is stronger, is that right? I will stay with sunflower oil for now.

Hi
I have been oil pulling for about a week now and came across this site while doing further research.

So far I have found i am getting much better sleep. I am a fairly healthy person so no known other benefits yet. One side affect I have though is my sex drive has almost diminished. Has this happened to anyone else?

Oil pulling is a cheap, easy thing to do and I will be recommending it to friends to help with any health problems they may be suffering.

I will let you know of any other benefits I may achieve over time.

I think the more people that know about this the better.

It really does work...
by: Anonymous

I found out about oil pulling while searching for natural health remedies. I've been oil pulling for about two months and must say, to my surprise, it really has worked for me. My teeth are whiter, my gums are pink, my skin is soft and my acne clearing up, the nasty side effects of the medication I was on (prednisone which is a steroid), like stiff joints, itching and tiredness are just about all gone. For the inexpensive cost of sesame oil, 20 minutes a day and IMPROVED health, I will continue oil pulling.
