Positive Affirmation
Yeah Ok, I know thinking positive and saying positive affirmations is hard enough to do when you’re dealing with the daily grind! Now add a life-altering experience and try it! For some I know it's difficult but it is one of the best things you can do for yourself!
Definition: 1. The act of affirming or the state of being affirmed; assertion. 2. Something declared to be true; a positive statement or judgment. My Experience: I started doing Affirmations from the first day I got sick. For me it comes naturally. I would walk around the block saying I am healthy, whole, and happy. I would make up just about anything positive to say over and over. I guess this is something my parents taught me. I didn’t begin saying structured affirmations until last year. Up to then, every Affirmation I said had always been off the cuff. But now I enjoy the structured affirmations because they integrate well into my daily routine. I also play a subliminal CD at nights to help put me in a stress free mood. All I can hear on this CD is the sound of the ocean which is quite peaceful for me. During the day, after my meditation, I listen to an Affirmation tape for about 10 minutes. I also have Affirmations taped to the front of my computer and on my mirrors in the bathroom. And if I am going to be honest I framed an Affirmation card and put on the wall by the toilet!
Would I do it again? I do it everyday. How else am I going to alter those neuropathways? We think so many negative thoughts in a day that the least we can do is try and combat them we a few positive Affirmations. ![]() If you enjoyed reading this article you might also like to read Laugter the cure for all that ails you
