Psychic
All right for all you skeptics out there don't jump out of your seat! A life-altering illness might just change your belief system slightly and you might be surprised at what you will do to try and help yourself! Definition:
My Experience: The experience I had with a Psychic turned out to be quite interesting. You know that when you get sick your friends and especially your family members will often offer to try just about anything to help you. My sister decided to have a session with a Psychic. So this is really my physic experience channeled through my sister since I did not attend the session. She sat down with the Psychic and gave her some general information about me to her. Then my sister turned a tape recorder on. As soon as the session started, the Psychic began displaying and experiencing some of my symptoms. She told my sister that she felt that she had the worst case of food poisoning ever and that her whole body hurt. She actually listed many other symptoms that were dead on and told my sister that I would be well in two years and that this was a learning experience for me and a part of my life journey. Well, she wasn’t quite accurate about me being well in two years, but she certainly impressed us both with her description of my illness.
Would I do it again? Sure, why not. Because so many of my symptoms were difficult for other people to understand it helped to validate for myself and for others that my symptoms were severe and difficult to deal with. I think my sister walked away with a better understanding of what I go through on a daily basis and it helped validate the pain I was going through. Did the Psychic get everything right? NO, the disorder did not go away after 2 years but I still think it was a positive experience.
