The Soft Landing Product Review and GiveawayWhen I started my transition to living a healthier lifestyle the information as well as product availability on-line was quite limited compared to today. But what I still find troubling is that a lot of companies that are supposedly committed to selling only 'healthy' products have an array of both toxic and non-toxic products on their site. I find that frustrating as well as unethical. So when SoftLanding.com agreed to have me review a few of their products I was thrilled; it is not often you come across a company that is committed to health, the environment and their customers like TheSoftLanding.com. What's the Product?
Thermos Stainless Steel Tea Tumbler with Infuser First Impressions My first impression of the products, packaging and web site are quite positive. Before I even contacted The TheSoftLanding.com I spent quite a bit of time reviewing their web site and blog and was immediately impressed with the obvious high standards and integrity of how this company operates. How does Mother Earth feel about this product? Mother Earth is pretty pleased with The TheSoftLanding.com. TheSoftLanding.com is a small family owned business that has set its priorities straight. They have put a tremendous amount of time into researching toxic chemicals and have made this information available through their blog thesoftlandingbaby.com. Their goal is to share this information with parents to help educate them on how to avoid toxic chemicals in their everyday life. They are also actively involved in helping to change regulations regarding the use of chemicals in consumer products. They sponsor the Kid-safe Chemical Act as well as being actively involved with Healthy Child Healthy World, both excellent organizations. The Soft Landing.com supports many non- profit organizations such as Mercy and Truth Medical Mission, CHEJ, Advice and Aid Pregnancy Centers, to name a few. The Soft Landing certainly does its part in helping protect Mother Earth! Is it a Healthy Product? You Bet! I know that when I buy something from The Soft Landing.com they have done their homework. It is safe, toxin-free and meets and exceeds my standards, which are pretty darn high. Healthy? Absolutely. How does this product impact my wallet? The prices seem comparable to other organic and environmentally friendly sites, the difference is that when I shop at The Soft Landing.com I can rest assured that the product I am purchasing is toxic free. I spend a ton of time researching products to make sure that they meet my standards and are safe for my family, so if I have to pay a dollar or two more for someone else to do the research for me I am happy to pay it. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes, trust is a rare commodity in today's world and when you come across a company that has the standards and track record that TheSoftLanding.com does, you are more than happy to spread the word. Bottom Line:
The products get 4 stars but TheSoftLanding.com gets 5 stars!

The first product I tried was the Nathan Stainless Steel Flip Bottle. I loved this water bottle right out of the gate. First and foremost because all the materials used are BPA free and toxin free. And that is huge plus for me. Functionally, Nathan Stainless Steel Flip Bottle performs quite well. I personally prefer the bottles with the flip top straw, they are just easier for me to use as well as my 3-year-old daughter. She actually loved the bottle, I think the bright color went over well with her. The good news is that it doesn't leak which I can't say about all water bottles. The only con is that it tends to "sweat" quite a bit on hot days; although most bottles do sweat, this one seems to do it a bit more. On the flip side they did put a silicone sleeve on the bottom half of the bottle, which not only helps with gripping, but also decreases the moisture that runs down the bottle. So two thumbs up for the Nathan Stainless Steel Flip Bottle. 
The second product I reviewed was the Stainless Steel Tea Tumbler with Infuser Thermos. I was really excited to try this product, especially since I am a tea drinker. When I first took a look at it I was a bit confused about why it had two different tops, one for the tea basket and a second one to use to drink out of, I thought it was a bit cumbersome. Who wants to deal with two tops plus one lid? Heck I have a hard time just keeping up with my three year old, now add two tops and a lid and it's a bit much for me. But after giving it a trial run it all made sense. I took it with me on our Sunday outing and was pretty happy about having a cup of tea to go. Overall, the Infuser worked quite well, but I would still be happier if they had found a way to have only one top with all the components built in.
