"You Know You Have a Bad Doctor When She Does Not Care If You Live Or Die

My wife has a rare disease that is still being learned about among the medical community. We were referred to a doctor because she was supposed to be the preeminent specialist on this disease in world.

I am shocked that someone who is so highly recommended could be as incompetent as she is. A partial list of what occurred to my wife under her "care" includes: No supervision after having an endoscopy performed leading to my wife falling out of the bed on anesthesia and receiving a concussion, not returning phone calls promptly or not at all, telling my wife she did not have to take a medicine when she in fact DID leading to weeks of discomfort, forgetting conversations she had with my wife and not keeping correct medical records. The only reason we did not leave sooner is that my wife did not have many other options.

Right now we are at a crossroads as to what we should do. But needless to say we have less respect for the medical profession that we did previously.
