5 depression-destroying drinks that contain turmeric, ginger, avocado and more

There is a direct connection between foods and moods. Today, inflammation increases our risk for depressive disorders which is a vicious cycle affecting over 60 million people. We seem to be slow to recognize the brain and body act as one. Depression, therefore can be a place we go where emotions aren’t truly valued or nourished.

We not only try to eat our way out of feeling lonely or abandoned, but we rely on pharmaceuticals to fix it. Because of this, we unconsciously and unanimously move into a disconnected way of living.

In fact, toxic foods and moods in mothers can subject babies to begin life with poor immunity and poor coping abilities thus paving the way for inflammatory disorders.

Why fiber rich foods?

High fiber foods improve cognitive function, depression, and dementia. The brain is made from cholesterol. “Dietary Fiber decreases cholesterol synthesis…”(3)

It a known fact that store bought bottled and boxed juices are not fresh and can be filled with processed sugars, and/or chemicals that can only increase depression and deplete your wallet.

You can make juicing at home simple and easy with vegetables such as spinach, carrots, kale, beets, celery, and chard for half the cost. Simply drinking leafy greens three times a week offers prevention from depression, while feeding the brain and body what it needs to thrive.

Antioxidants are found in a wide variety of vegetables and fruits and contain lutein, but researchers found that most dark green, leafy vegetables contain an important amount. Raw kale is lutein-rich, as well as collard greens and spinach. (5)

Pineapple Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Pineapple boost serotonin levels, fights inflammation and aids in digestion. Chia seeds are rich in Omega 3’s and also boost moods.
