Store bought air fresheners and sprays are full of chemicals and unnecessary ingredients, so why not make your own in just a few steps with minimal ingredients?

That’s what we did here with this Orange Ginger Air Freshener recipe.  A few other things you can do with this aroma combination is to add it to unscented hand cream and/or body lotion!  Before we get to the recipe, let’s take a look at the benefits of both Orange and Ginger.

Ginger is simultaneously warm and energizing.  Ginger Essential Oils are known for assisting those with upset stomachs, nausea, motion sickness, and morning sickness. (1)  It may also help with arthritis and other aches and pains. (1)

Orange is uplifting and sunny!  Orange Essential Oil makes a great general tonic because it boosts the immune and lymphatic systems. (2)  It’s great for most if not all skin types. (2)  It helps with acne-prone and oily skin, too. (2)

Ingredients:

  • 5 drops of Orange Essential Oil
  • 3 drops of Ginger Essential Oil
  • 4 to 6 ounces of Water

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a spray bottle and shake well.
